"Personal" is about me reclaiming the time I lost by overexerting myself for others who didn't appreciate it. Most of the pain that I felt stemmed from me having too many expectations of other people and not doing what was best for me. I had made an idolization of people and didn't even recognize it.. I expected them to reciprocate love and loyalty but I had to realize that the only person who can truly meet and exceed those expectations is God Himself. Instead of blaming others for my own self neglect, I took accountability for having the wrong desires and started refocusing my mind on what truly matters. There's so much power in a changed mind and when you make up in your mind that you're going to do better for yourself, it might offend a lot of people; especially those who are taking you for granted. Set the boundaries anyway though; and if anyone ever gets offended by you making better decisions for your life, look at them and say "don't take it personal".more
